Stewart McLeod Park Loop

Just two kilometres north of Chipman (Grand Lake Municipality) on Route 123 (a 50-minute drive from downtown Fredericton), is the delightful riverside Stewart McLeod Park on the Salmon River at the northern end of Grand Lake. The park is the jump off point for a super loop into Hutchinson Brook heading east. A 4 km (up and back) loop takes paddlers into Hutchinson Brook, with several side inlets and tiny islands. Depending on water levels, it may be possible to travel further into the narrowing channel into a natural wetland. Kayak and canoe rentals available at the park.
